
Tadeusz Kassatti, pianist and composer, was born in Cracow, Poland in 1953*. In 1972 he was awarded first prize with distinction at the Cracow Conservatory. He continued his studies at the Geneva Conservatory with Harry Datyner and Luis Hiltbrandt , and in London with Peter Feuchtwanger. He currently teaches at the
Conservatoire Populaire de Musique in Geneva.
As a composer he is stylistically eclectic, exploring different fields such as: electronic experimental music, theatre and stage productions, and chamber music. Kassatti has produced many recordings and has composed for Swiss and Polish radio
He regularly collaborates with internationally known musicians such as Steven Mead, Michel Becquet,
LUUR METALLS - Spanish Brass quintet
He is also the author of obligatory pieces played at such international competitions as:
International Quintet Competition in Narbonne (France),
Philip Jones International Competition in Guebviller (France), Tuba-Euphonium International Competition in Budapest (Hungary).
Kassatti's works are published by Editions BIM and Editions PWM.
